This book much like their parents’ books are dark and gritty and you aren’t sure what is coming next as you turn the pages. If you are a fan of these, we get to meet children of some of Karina’s best characters: Violet and Vincente. I have devoured everything Karina Halle has written except her Experiment in Terror series and I adored The Artists and Dirty Angels Trilogies.
